A SAFE RETURN TO THE WORKPLACE WITH GITTE ANDERSEN, GLOBAL HEAD OF WORKPLACE MANAGEMENT & DESIGN AT ISS/ SIGNAL
“When planning the return to the workplace after COVID-19, organisations will need to apply an approach where the home workstation remains an active part of the solution. However, if keeping a distance remains the overarching measure when returning, the maximum building capacity will have to decrease. Organisations will need to:
Strategise a safe return to ensure an optimal flow of people in peak periods, and logistics throughout the day. This will require reconsidering if a building that used to house 10.000 people is now only suitable for half, due to capacity and distance between workstations. A lift for 10 people might be suitable for only 4 people, and arrival times will need to be coordinated as well as dividing teams into start, mid, and end-week groups”
While there are many uncertainties to be addressed before returning to the workplace, there are also many solutions ready to be implemented. At SIGNAL we help clients bring employees back to work happy and safe by service revision of the current workplace.
