This week, Gitte Andersen, Global Head of Workplace Management & Design, SIGNAL Group, and Head of SIGNAL UK, gave an interview to the property group Newsec. The interview is about the workplace that’s in the midst of a paradigm shift. The interview was brought in a property supplement in the Danish newspapers Børsen and Berlingske (week 34, 2018) and posted on Newsec’s website as well.
“For many employees, it’s no longer enough to have a Friday bar with gin and tonic. They would rather participate in one of the many popular pop-up events such as a lecture, a hackathon or morning yoga in the square in front of the office. They care more about receiving free health checks, have access to a healthy and delicious lunch, and be part of a running club hosted by the company or the opportunity to book a personal trainer over the campus app. That’s why it’s one thing to have the facilities – but another thing to have an event manager, who is up to date on what’s going on. And here, we are back at the company’s experience management. Those, who are able to do this will, will find it easier to maintain and attract talent,” says Gitte Andersen.
